Another of the stands that I visited belonged to Distag QCS who offer a comprehensive range of components to suit most types of industry.  In particular I was interested in was power transmission products including chain and sprockets, belts and pulleys , tyreflex couplings, HRC Couplings, taper lock bushes, weld in hubs and bolt on hubs. All these items can generally be supplied from stocks held here in the UK and supplied on a next day delivery. Further commentary on these products in due course.

Drives & Controls Exhibition Part 1

I visited the Drives & Controls Exhibition at The NEC recently. I had never had the chance to go before and, I have to say, I didnt really know what to expect. What I did know was that there were a number of companies exhibiting that were either past or current suppliers to myself. When you are sat in an office most of the day talking to "voices" it is very nice to meet those "voices" face to face. Much of the exhibition focussed on hydraulics, pneumatics, tools and linear technologies but I met people who I do business with on a regular basis including the power transmission side of the business. I particularly enjoyed talking to people at the KOBO stand and was impressed with one of the guys who specialised in leaf chains for forklift trucks. He explained the various types of chain that can be supplied to suit different FLT applications and how they can generally supply specific applications at very short notice. Westfield Reverse Gearbox Bearings & Chain

Had a call last month from a guy who was looking for the chain to suit a Westfield Reverse Gear Box. I knew exactly what he wanted and within three days of his call he took delivery of twenty four pitch of endless chain. Apparently the Westfield part number is 1744010 and its to suit the mega range of cars.
